A WEEK AFTER THE UNFORGETTABLE TYPHOON ONDOY

It has been exactly 1 week after the typhoon Ondoy had hit Metro Manila. It was quite traumatic for me, yet I know it is truly traumatic for others. Thank God, me and my family were not affected. Sadly, a lot of my friends were. A lot of people lost there homes, investments, and some, even family members. I never expected that Metro Manila will be flooded the way it was flooded that day, especially seeing those places I thought will never get flooded that high.

I agree to what others say. This could have serve as a wake up call to everyone. After the flood has washed out almost all the possessions the people have including there houses, cars, and a lot of other things, at the end of the day, it is still food, clothing, and shelter that remain truly necessary.

It was also heart-warming to see the Filipino people remain hand-in-hand in helping each other. It also made me smile to hear a lot say that despite all these that had happened, they are greatly thankful to God, that He still kept them safe.

I hope people would realize how God continue to be in His great goodness.
